Wisdom had the pleasure of attending the 2016 Destination NSW Tourism Awards last week to support award finalists Mudgee Region and Destination Southern Highlands. Collaborations between Wisdom and both organisations proved to be fruitful with both Southern Highlands and Mudgee earning gold recognition!
Destination Southern Highlands was awarded GOLD in the category of Visitor Information Services, for the Southern Highlands Welcome Centre. In efforts to innovate and engage with local residents and tourists alike, a strategic approach to redevelop the centre was taken. Wisdom was involved in introducing key marketing elements with interactive strategies feeding to the website, including touch screen technology, interpretive signage, billboards, and display signage.
Mudgee Region excelled in the category of Destination Marketing securing a GOLD award for the ‘Reset Your Senses’ destination marketing initiative. Wisdom has worked extensively with Mudgee Region over the last 2 years, including the development of a new destination website and the production of the last two visitor guides.
Destination Southern Highlands was also awarded the BRONZE award in the same category of Destination Marketing for the ‘Fall In Love Again’ integrated marketing campaign. Wisdom was proud to project manage this campaign from strategy to delivery in yet another successful partnership with Destination Southern Highlands.
Held in the iconic location of Luna Park Sydney, the team found it a fitting venue, with the famous Luna Park logo being yet another brand identity Wisdom have had the pleasure of creating.
We would like to congratulate both Mudgee Region and Destination Southern Highlands on being recognised for their outstanding efforts and wish them well at the Australian Tourism Awards which are being held in Northern Territory in February next year.
