The Wollongong AHM Hawks are a vital part of the sporting fabric in the Illawarra area as well as being an integral part of the city's identity. Recently, the NBL applied strict financial criteria to all teams within the league, forcing some to drop out. The Hawks were very close to being one of these teams. After several months of rallying "Save the Hawks" campaign with the local Community, the Hawks were saved by financial guarantor NRE, securing their spot in the 09/10 NBL Season. 

The Hawks engaged WISDOM to create a new brand for this season based on "Community Support". Less focus was placed on individual players, with more focus on the fans. This fresh new brand was then implemented throughout all the Hawks marketing material, including Membership brochures, Corporate partnership brochures, press advertising, radio and television commercials.
