NSW Rail Museum
Logo Development
Since 1975 the historic town of Thirlmere in Sydney’s southwest has been home to a significant rail heritage collection, including over 100 rolling stock items, associated with the history of the railways in NSW.
When the NSW Rail Museum first came to WISDOM, they were called Trainworks. A rename meant a rebrand, and WISDOM was tasked to deliver a Brand Identity that didn’t feature a clichéd steam train. After consultations with passionate train enthusiasts, museum volunteers and a brand strategy workshop, WISDOM created a logo synonymous with train builder’s plates, and brand elements that reflect the uniqueness of each locomotive.
